Zoom video calls are gonna come as a standard software with Elon Musk's Tesla electric cars soon. Hmm, that should work out fine with autopilot being an option too. Right?
Zoom’s group product manager, Nitasha Walia, made the announcement during the company’s ‘2022 Zoomtopia’ event.
“You’ve been zooming from your home, your office, your phone and even your TV. We’re going to make it even easier for you to zoom from anywhere,” she said during the event. Brr, we're not liking this. It's bad enough that employers expect employees to be reachable beyond office hours. Let's face it, few users will be habitually "zooming" with friends and loved ones.
Apart from announcing it's deal with Tesla, Zoom also said that users will no longer need to leave the Zoom platform to access their email and calendar. This is thanks to Zoom Mail and Calendar Clients. Widely-used email and calendar services will be integrated directly into Zoom.
Another new (future) addition unveiled at the event was Zoom Spots, a "virtual coworking space" where you can chat with your colleagues at any time in order to foster "inclusive discussions." It will roll out sometime in 2023.
